Over the past couple of years we have benefited from having an Education Ranger who has been available to provide engagement, activities and events across the Islands for both residents and visitors in a variety of ways; whether through guided nature walks, sessions within the nursery/school setting or for community groups or through the setting up of self-guided trails, amongst other things.
Sadly, as a result of Covid-19 guidelines and restrictions, our Education Ranger post has become unworkable. With our Island Charity unable to run our nature based events and activities in a safe and meaningful way; either for attendees or for us as a Charity.
We have had to make some tough decisions regarding our small team and have re-deployed our Education Ranger back to our Estate Ranger Team; in an effort to avoid staff redundancies and ensure our team is well looked after in these difficult times.
Consequently we have cancelled and will no longer be running Education Ranger led activities and events, as we have done. Any events and activities that we are able to run will be advertised here, so please do check back; but it is likely with changing Government guidance and restrictions that there will be last minute changes and/or cancellations so please do bear with us.
