There are a number of wading bird species that can be found in the Isles of Scilly at various times throughout the year.

Oystercatchers can be seen all year round, being particularly noisey throughout the summer breeding season, whereas other species will be best seen only at certain times of the year. The winter months will bring a number of wading species to our shores and wetland areas such as Greenshank and Turnstones, and a number of Curlew have been seen over the summer months.
