The Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust is proud to have been one of the organisations involved in bringing this event to our Islands; our CEO Sarah Mason has been involved throughout the planning and preparation stages providing information and advice regarding the Swimrun route to ensure our wildlife is not adversely affected.

The ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Organisers have been working closely with the Islands' Partnership, Tresco Estate, Duchy of Cornwall, Council of the Isles of Scilly Isles of Scilly Steamship Company/Isles of Scilly Travel and the Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust to introduce this new race to their 2016 calendar.

The Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust have been integral during the planning and preparation stages to ensure that the route which the Swimrun participants will follow takes into consideration our native species.

The Swimrun participants will pass through areas of Trust land and it has been agreed that the route will be monitored and altered if necessary to ensure our native wildlife is minimally affected.

In recognition of the Trust's support and advice during this process, and of the work that is carried out every year to ensure our islands paths are clear and historic sites are accessible, ÖTILLÖ are making a donation to the charity to support our continued work.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Swimrun Organisers for their charitable donation and are looking forward to our continued good working relationship in the the run up to the event.
