Help the Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust recover from Storm Goretti

The recent Storm Goretti has left a trail of devastation across the Isles of Scilly. Strong and sustained winds of approximately 100mph and heavy rain have caused widespread damage to the islands’ landscapes, with a significant proportion of the Trust’s trees felled, many onto other sensitive habitats. Wildlife habitats have been destroyed, soil and grassland are exposed to erosion and our precious ecosystems are at risk.

The Isles of Scilly are home to unique and rare species and their habitats are incredibly delicate. The loss of so many trees and the damage to landscape makes the Trust’s land management and habitat restoration work more urgent than ever. Without immediate action, wildlife populations could decline and the natural resilience of the islands will be compromised.

We seek emergency funding in the aftermath of the storm. Your support will make the difference. Donations will allow the Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust to:

· Clear fallen trees carefully from vulnerable habitats

· Restore damaged grasslands, heathlands and wetlands

· Recover habitats for wildlife affected by the storm

· Restore access to nature trails, coastal paths, wetland and nature reserves for residents and future visitors

By giving today, you will help us protect and restore these unique landscapes and ensure that the islands’ wildlife can recover and thrive for generations to come. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. It will help us respond quickly to the storm’s impact and build resilience against future extreme weather.

Please donate now to support the Trust in this urgent and essential work. Together, we can help the Isles of Scilly recover and continue to flourish.

Thank you for standing with the islands and their wildlife.
