Fundraise for the Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust

You can make a huge difference for local island wildlife by becoming a community fundraiser for us. There are loads of ways to combine your passion for nature with a fundraising opportunity, whilst getting creative, making use of your skills, optimising your business or using it as an excuse to get fit. Check out some ideas below.

Here's some ideas to get you started...

  • Challenge yourself to do a sponsored walk, run, cycle or other physical activity. You could nominate the Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust as your chosen charity in a big event (like a marathon or fun run), or make up your own challenge.

  • Create something to sell or auction. Use your creative skills to make something that you could sell, and donate a % of the proceeds to the Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust. In recent years, we've seen people creating fridge magnets to sell, artwork on greetings cards, auctions of original artwork and crafts and even seven-year-old Ted who created his very own comic book to sell (see his story here).

  • Host a donation box at your workplace/shop. If you're on-island, we can provide you with the resources you need to fundraise for us at work by hosting a donation box (or find our more about becoming a corporate partner).

  • Host an event like a cake sale, an organised tea party, a toy swap, a SWISH event, a party of friends, a cocktail evening, a sporting activity, a quiz or an auction of promises to raise money for us whilst having fun with friends.

  • Get creative by challenging yourself to do something unusual and raising sponsorship in the process. Challenging activities like skydives are popular, or you can do something more personal. In 2022, we were delighted by Dave's Shave, where our supporter Dave shaved off his beard in sections to raise money for us!
