Seabird Recovery ProjectA partnership of organisations (including the RSPB, the Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust (IOSWT), the Isles of Scilly Area of Outstanding Beauty (AONB) and Natural England is carrying out a feasibility study to review current and consider future work to control brown rats that threaten the internationally important seabird colonies in Scilly.
Lesser black-backed gullsThe population of Lesser black-backed gulls in the Isles of Scilly has declined over the last decade. One PhD student has been studying the colony on Gugh.
Kittewake Project 2010A research project in association with the University of Plymouth and Natural England to investigate the decline in black-legged kittiwakes in Scilly by investigating the possible role of predation by large gulls.
