Porcupine Marine Natural History Society field meeting
During the week of 6th September 2010 The Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust hosted the annual field meeting of the Porcupine Marine Natural History Society and the Conchological Society.
The week was a huge success with nearly 40 scientists and amateur naturalists from the 2 societies coming over to Scilly to contribute to our understanding of the marine environment. We had experts in various fields such as fish, molluscs and worms which meant we could identify many very small or tricky species as well as the larger and more familiar marine life.
Listen below to our podcasts where Jaclyn Pearson chats with the visiting marine biologists about the field meeting, their research and what they found.
