Seasearch

Seasearch is a training and recording scheme to involve recreational divers in contributing to conservation through recording what they observe underwater.

In 2009 we ran a Seasearch training course for local divers in Scilly. We also encourage visiting divers to fill out a Seasearch form on any dives they do here.

Observation

Many of our marine life surveys are based on Seasearch methods. We have come across some fantastic species this year like the rare seaslug Discodoris rosi, a flame shell, a rare stalked sea squirt, sunset corals and much more. Yellow cluster anemones, photograph by Malcolm Nimmo
